5. A cycling poem from sent in by Christine Barrow

Motorcycles, cars,                 You’d be surprised
Bikes and trains,                 At the things you see,
Buses and mopeds,             unnoticed when driving
Hot air balloons, planes.            From A to B.

We have so much choice             The surrounding houses,
For transportation,                 The gardens too,
But constant congestion,             The scenic landscape
Makes irritation.                From a different view

What about legs,                 Hear the birds sing
And arms, and feet,             As you cycle along,
And lungs and heart             As they converse
With rising beat.                 In their musical throng.

A trip to the shop,                 When you return home,
At fast rate,                     Though your legs may throb,
Could save a trip to the doc,         You’re ready to tackle,
At a later date.                The next waiting job.

Got too much to do,
Why not take a break,
On a leisurely cycle, from
Your stress escape.
