Fun off-road racing and skills competitions on Sat 18th Dec
Ages 4-16 years – all riders will need to be able to ride a simple off-road course and be able to complete a series of basic cycling skills. From 10am to 12.30pm at Oak Bank School, Sandy Lane, Leighton Buzzard. Entry fee £3.00
What to bring :- A completed entry form and a fully working bike suitable for off-road riding with 2 working brakes, as well as a helmet.
Some MTB's and helmets will be available to borrow.

Go Mountain Biking Indoors this holiday at the Cycle Hut, LB
“How would you like to escape the elements and learn some new skills on your mountain bike this Christmas?”
The Cycle Hut, opposite Leighton Buzzard Railway Station, will be transformed into an indoor mountain bike centre using the GoCycle’s Shoretrax portable mountain bike trail system. The modular timber trail combined with a series of ‘skills stations’ will be used by instructors from Firecrest Mountain Biking to develop skills and complete the Mountain Bike Proficiency Program
from level 1 to 3 - ideal for riders of all abilities aged from 8-16. Attendees must be able to ride unaided and bring their own bike and helmet and a packed lunch.
The courses cost £20 per person per day and are running on the following days over the Christmas Holidays:

Local Mountain Biking courses – out in the elements!
With a variety of dates in the Xmas holidays and ongoing into 2011 now available for adults and for children, these courses are designed to train and develop off road riding skills, while having a lot of fun in the fresh air. Cycle and WIN in the GoCycle Challenge - March 2011.
The GoCycle Challenge is a free, fun competition to encourage people to remember the joys and benefits of riding a bike.
Businesses, schools, sports clubs and community groups will compete to see who can get the most people to cycle for at least 10 minutes from Monday 14th March to Sunday 3rd April 2011.
Participants will log their cycling at www.gocyclechallenge.org to stand a chance of winning prizes – from cinema tickets, to meals out, bikes and even a masseuse at your workplace for a day!
There will be free support, incentives and activities – all the motivation you need to get out your bike and have some fun. You can get your bike checked and ready for action at our Dr Bike Tuesday sessions – see below.
